[FAR-West] Ken O'Malley/Santa Clara/Santa Cruz

Allow me to introduce myself. I am manager for Irish folk artist Ken O'Malley.
After years of performing with his band The Twilight Lords, Ken is branching
out into more solo acoustic traditional music as well. These shows have been
well received at colleges, house concerts and other "listening venues". So,
over the coming year, we are focusing on more of these opportunities as well
as promoting Ken's latest solo CD which was released late last year.
It was
suggested to us that we ought to check out FAR-West and participate in this
year's conference. We are planning on doing this and I have been "lurking" on
this list for a little while. From what I have seen so far, it seems like a
friendly and supportive group.
In any event, if any of you are in Santa Clara
or Santa Cruz or have friends in the area who enjoy Irish music, we wanted to
let you know that Ken will be appearing at Mission City Coffee Roasting
Company in Santa Clara Friday, May 30 and Cayuga Vault in Santa Cruz on
Saturday, May 31. Both shows are at 7:30PM. He will also be appearing on
"Friday Folk-off" on  KKUP 91.5 Cupertino/San Jose at 4:30 PM on Friday May
30.
