No, I don't ride on my "bic".  But with the "c" followed by the "y" in
bicycle, it's going to be a soft "c" sound, so you would have a "bis"
--whereas the "c" in microphone is followed by the r, making it the hard
consonant sound like "k".

And anyway, "mic" is just a cute, tidy little word!

Now I'll shut up...
