journalist and musician Daniel Pearl, provides a cogent way of empowering
audiences with unity and purpose and involves no financial consideration.

Background
The world came to know Daniel Pearl as the Wall Street Journal reporter who
was kidnapped and murdered by extremists in Pakistan shortly after 9/11.
Danny was a talented musician who joined musical groups in every community
he visited, leaving behind a long trail of musician friends that span the
entire globe. Commemorating his birthday each year in October, World Music
Days rallies people in a united stand around their common humanity.

Since its inception, the Daniel Pearl World Music Days has grown to include
thousands of performances of all music genres throughout the world, led by a
group of distinguished artists serving on our Honorary

*	Cellist Michael Fitzpatrick dedicating a special invocation in
conjunction with an appearance by the Dalai Lama in Indiana.
*	The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City featuring concerts
by Grammy Award winning jazz songstress Dianne Reeves, The Guarneri String
Quartet, and German piano virtuoso Lars Vogt.
*	US college tour "Take Back the Mic" co-founded by Dave Stewart of
the Eurythmics, featuring youth empowerment hip-hop artists from Africa and
Jamaica.
*	Germany's Interface 2007 festival of modern and electronic music in
Berlin.
*	Composer John Adams with the Baltimore Symphony.
*	Youth Concerts in San Francisco, Savannah, Recife, Brazil and
Ankara,Turkey.
*	Alex Hargreaves, winner of the 2007 Grand Champion division at the
National Oldtime Fiddlers' Contest, with his sister Tatiana in Nashville.
