I also just now discovered an amazing site of mp3s of middle eastern 78s
worth checking out: http://music.cdbpdx.com/ArabicMusic/ Here you can hear,
among other things, Fairuz' "Hala La Laya," which years later would surface
in Jamaica as an instrumental reggae cover! Another connection between
Lebanon and Jamaica beyond that of former Prime Minister Edward Seaga..
