Issa (formerly Jane Simberry) started "selling" her music in that way
about a year ago. She takes it one step further by having an
unstaffed merch booth at her shows too. So even the CD's are paid
for as people see fit.
She has various pricing suggestions on her site and statistics so
people can see what people are doing.
Currently, people are paying an average of $1.18 (Canadian?) per
song, with 80% of the people paying the suggested rate, 6% paying
below and 14% paying above.
One caveat, I can't figure out what those statistics cover. 19%
download for free (is that included). 57% download with a pay later
option (do they really pay later?).
Still, it is interesting to see what she is up to.
