[FA Worldmusic] Egypt tips?

Hi all.... my wife and I are going to Egypt soon on a trip organized  
in connection with her philosophy of religion PhD program... so we're  
looking for any tips/suggestions/relevant anecdotes from any who know  
the area. We'll in Cairo, of course, plus Alexandria, Luxor and then  
Mt. Sanai and the Red Sea coast. Suggestions about music? food?  
sights? anything else?
