I haven't been there in years, but recall that Morocco has a good train
system, including direct (I think) from Casablanca to Morocco. You will be
fine on the train, but for walking the streets, probably better to have
company.
Morocco also has some of the most aggressive hustlers I have encountered. But
a rich cultural experience.

Subject: [FA Worldmusic] women of africa festival - marrakech in april
hey there to all -
i'm investigating the possibility of travelling to this festival in april
and am wondering if anyone else has thought about attending. i haven't
been to morocco so would want to travel a few days in advance (april 15 or
16) probably will fly into casablanca and make my way to marrakech in time
for the festival (scheduled for april 19 - 22).
i've travelled solo quite a lot, but don't know if traipsing about by
myself on this one is quite such a good idea.
any thoughts?
leigh ann
