Thanks for all the "train" and Horn of African music input, especially
Gerald for the Brazilian train tunes ( Milton Nascimento, Joao Gilberto and
Simone) and Jeff Kaliss for Lydia Mendoza.
Josh Kohn came through with a gem: Eritrean artist Tsehaytu Beraki for the
Horn of Africa show.

And John Leeson and Rob Weisberg reminded me about K'Naan, originally from
Mogadishu, now based in Toronto. Rob also suggested a cool train tune from
the Motion Trio from Poland.

Their showcase at WOMEX (Essen) is still a vivid memory with their dark
shades and accordions.
The Mondomix train show includes blues and gospel but I'm looking (maybe in
vain or is that 'Train in Vain'?) to balance the program with tunes from
other cultures...Chinese, Indian, Arabic, Scandinavian, etc.
thanks again,
Choo Choo Dore
