[FA Worldmusic] Horn of Africa/Trains/Tangents change of address

Hi all,

Since you guys are the smartest and nicest guys I know (how's that for
brown-nosing?), I'd like to solicit suggestions for two Tangents shows I'm
producing for Mondomix. Any songs that are used will be credited.

One covers the music of the Horn of Africa: Somalia, Ethiopia, Eritrea and
Djibouti. I don't believe Sudan and Kenya are considered part of the Horn of
Africa, but perhaps someone will clarify.

Does anyone know Somali (only Maryam Mursal/Waaberi so far), Eritrean or
Djibouti artists they'd recommend? Perhaps there are decent compilations?  I
am well stocked with Ethiopian music.

The other program I'm working on has a "train" theme. It will contain gospel
and blues, particularly the House of God pedal steel driving Pentecostal
church music that Arhoolie has championed. However, I'd love to be turned on
to train music from other cultures. At the moment only the "Coal Train -
Stimela" by Hugh Masekela comes to mind.
