The last two posts I made were sent in the opposite order that they arrived
in my inbox.....not sure if that happened to the rest of you, but just in
case, they make a fair bit more sense when you start with this one (below)
and then read the next after that.

It would seem politicians of both stripes in Washington are coming out
strongly against Kevin Martin and the FCC's plans to rush ahead with their
loosening of cross-ownership restrictions in the media.

By John Eggerton -- Broadcasting & Cable, 12/4/2007 4:16:00 PM
"The Senate Commerce Committee Tuesday unanimously passed a bill to block a
Federal Communications Commission vote Dec. 18 on loosening its ban on
newspaper-broadcast cross-ownership. It now goes before the full Senate. An
aide to Sen. Byron Dorgan (D-N.D.) said the bill has plenty of support on
both side of the aisle but didn't know when it might be scheduled for a
floor vote."

In case any of my American brothers and sisters on this list are not
following this story (and responding accordingly). Please watch this Bill
Moyers clip while you are enjoying your Thanksgiving weekend. And happy
turkey or Tofurky eating to you all.
