Sorry, but I think they deserve a little of this ribbing......
Duets with Las Vegas and Branson MO nightclub acts.... "so sweeet... 
so nice....." candy ads... sugary soda pitches.
They set themselves up to be part of the same popular glut culture 
you are decrying and have shown themselves capable of being as 
uncreative as the cigar chomping sock-puppy.

Part of our kid's cultural integrity has to be sorting out the 
dross.... perhaps this nasty little bit on late night TV is an 
opportunity to give them a lesson in critical analysis.
