Is it using LBM what you think is in "bad taste," or the targets and
execution of the actual barbs?

If spoofing LBM is what's in bad taste (as some others have
implied) , explain to me why "world music" should be immune from
skewering, any more than jazz, pop, hi-hop, classical or any other
popular music form?

I'm sorry, but LBM has become a parody of themselves in ythe last
decade... they outlived (or out-marketed) their sacred place in 'the
pantheon,' I think.

That seems rather a dire statement... is "world music" an especially
endangered species, compared to any other genre? An awful lot of
what falls under the big WM umbrella looks pretty damned healthy to me.
